The East had already made a preliminary description and theoretical construction of the concept of “natural philosophy” as early as the ancient Greek period, but the academic community has never had a widely recognized definition of what “natural philosophy” is. Especially since modern times, this problem has become increasingly complicated with the exploration of natural philosophy by Oriental philosophers such as Ross and Hegel. However, the concept of natural philosophy in the late period was relatively simple. We can mainly understand the abstract understanding and speculation system of human beings regarding the natural origin, nature, and operating rules of the universe, as well as the relationship between humans and nature. Chinese predecessors admired geography and looked down on the earth, “applying the body near, and taking things far away” (“Yi Ji·Shi Yu Gua”), which formed a simple and rich natural philosophical concept in the observation and thinking of the “Wao of Liuhe”, and had a major impact on the shaping of the humanistic and emotional energy and characteristics of Chinese civilization. 1. As a natural philosophical concept, “Feng”
Donghan Xu Shen said in the “Feng” section of “Shiwenjiezi”: “Feng: cloud is a pictographic image. It is also a major newcomer to the relationship between heaven and man. It has a major impact on almost all aspects of the human life world.
At that time, people’s use of energy was combined with the concept of the five elements of the yang and the yang. Generally speaking, the original concept of yin and five elements predated the origin of the concept of qi. With the development and maturity of the concept of yin and five elements, at most, before the two become integrated, the air is combined with them, and a concept system of yin and yang and the air of the five elements is derived.
